Shipping is flat rate based on the shipping method (most orders will use UPS Next Day Air) and four box sizes: small, medium, large, and giant. Partially filled boxes cost the same as full boxes. To maximize your shipping dollars, our checkout will show how much room is left in each box so you can fill up the box of your choice.
Heat and cold packs will be added as needed at no extra charge.

Usually your order will ship within a week, on a Monday or Wednesday. We'll notify you via email what day we plan to ship; if other arrangments serve you better just reply to that email.
Most fish are pulled the day before being shipped and fasted so they can void their bowels before their trip. This means we need at least 2 days (though we usually take 3-5 business days) to ship each order. The upside, our fish arrive without ammonia burn or other damage from toxic materials in the water.
Holiday Shipping 2023:
- Orders placed after November 18th will start shipping November 27th.
- Orders placed after December 16th will start shipping January 3rd.
There are two ways to know what items have been added to inventory.
Search results only include items that contain matching text in one of their red header values or are in a category/subcategory that contain the search text. Item description text is not searched to help reduce irrelevant results and improve performance.
Often less is more with search, for example to find 'Pseudomugil gertrudae Aru IV', try searching just 'gert' or 'aru'.
