  • Comment: Dan has got the shipping thing figured out. I've been ordering fish mail-order for about 30 years. Some of those experiences have been good, some have been absolute disasters. My order from Dan was the opposite of a disaster. Easy to set up, clear expectations, and no adventures at any point in the process. Fish are healthy and arrived showing minimal stress. Even with cold weather and a two-day shipping schedule, we had no problems. I look forward to him expanding his inventory so I will be compelled to order again.

  • Comment: After placing the order, Dan's contacted me directly to verify details, and insure delivery arrangements. They suggested a hold at the post office so the order was not stressed by the last mile ride in an unheated USPS vehicle. Sadly, the USPS put the fish on a truck anyhow. So they little guys had to ride around the route with the post man anyhow. For some reason I didn't even get notified I had a delivery until after the post office closed. And no notification slip until the next day. Gotta love the post office. But Dan's packaged the fish very well. Lots of insulation. Fish in separate bags with enough water for a multi-day trip. And a heater pad that still was warm to the touch when I picked it all up. Not one DOA, which is pretty rare to my experience. So 5 stars, for great communications, well thought out packaging, all intended for the best experience to both the fish and the buyer. Thanks again for everything. Cheers James

A fish often described as delicate and fragile, the Chocolate Gouramis I got from Dan are vibrant and full of vigor and they are absolutely not picky eaters--They were even pecking at the zucchini I leave for the otos! Like his fish, Dan's service, too, is top-notch. He responds quickly to messages and, from rearing the fish to packaging and shipping them out, he's mindful and meticulous. He's my go to seller for my online fish purchases for sure!

  • Comment: Chocolate gouramis arrived in amazing condition. These are often considered to be delicate, but Dan takes the time to quarantine them and adapt them to aquarium life. It shows! 20 minutes after being added to the tank they had lost their stress colors.and were out gobbling down pellets. Awesome experience start to finish!
