Comment: Update: I changed my rating to 5 stars. I sent Dan a message about the one dead guppy and I really didn’t expect a refund because it had been over 24 hours, but Dan refunded my money and partial shipping for the guppy. He was also curious about the one Cory that was different and asked for a picture. So I sent him a picture to confirm. I actually plan on buying a few more of what I think is a Venezuelan schultzei if Dan confirms so he won’t be all alone. Original post: This was not Dan’s fault, but UPS did not deliver my fish the next day by noon. It took 2 days to get my fish. I was at my house when the fish were delivered, so I unpacked them immediately. I had 7 Venezuelan Red Sail Cory’s and 3 Blue Topaz guppies. I put all the fish on a drip from my quarantine tank and let them be for over 4 hours. When I put the Cory’s in the tank,,one was having some breathing issues and he seemed much darker than the others, of the guppies, I put 2 in the tank, but kept one back as it was just lying in the ground not doing well. The Cory recovered and is fine, but he is definitely not like the others. I believe he is a Black Venezuela Cory Catfish (corydoras schultzei), and not a Venezuelan Red Sail. The guppy sadly did not make it. I have sent a message to Dan about the guppy, but have not heard back. Overall I am happy with my fish, and would buy from Dan again. I gave 4 stars because I did loose one fish, and one of the Cory’s was a different variety from what I ordered. Also, UPS should have gotten the fish to me next day for the amount of shipping.

Comment: Both Rams arrived on time and seemed healthy. One of the Rams has been hiding as he has been continually bullied by a smaller Bolivian Ram that has been in the 90 gallon tank for several months. Fortunately, there is a lot of vegetation and plenty of places to hide. I'm not confident in his survival and I don't have another tank that I can transfer him to.

Comment: I received my order of electric blue acaras, red dragon guppies and cherry shrimp today and so far, my experience has been amazing. All of the fish came in their own bag, some of them (maybe all) were double bagged and the box came well packed and warm. All of the fish were bright, colorful and plump. The red dragon guppy female is even pregnant and looks like she is going to pop out some babies any day. All of the fish went in their respective tanks, have quickly become comfortable and just got their first meal. I would highly recommend purchasing from Dans fish, the entire experience has been flawless.

Comment: Wow!! I am absolutely blown away. Dan's guarantee on live arrival isn't overconfident - its underplayed. The packaging is easily best I've ever seen, and the fish were in phenomenal health upon arrival (one of my minnows was even still super colorful!!). Everyone has been added to their new homes, but the Dwarf Rasbora are especially happy: THEY STARTED BREEDING IMMEDIATELY. I like to imagine they all remembered eachother U_U and were glad to be reunited in their beautiful new home. Dan will be getting all my business fron now on, and he should get yours too!!

Comment: Dan's cardinal tetras are the best you are likely to find. Hardy, bright, and mine are very round after just ~3 months. Mine even pick at food that is on the sand, they tear up frozen shrimp like a pack of dogs, funny little fish. Anyway made my 2nd order and yeah, each one in its own double bagged, heat sealed package, plenty of water, he fasts them before shipping so no poo or cloudy water, just great. Now to get Dan to stock corals & saltwater fish...

Comment: Sorry to hear that Jonny had to clean up a tank overflow when he got in on Monday. No problem regarding the Bamboo Shrimp. These things happen. I just feel sorry for everyone having a clean up to do first thing Monday morning. Everybody else arrived here safe and sound today, and after drip acclimating, are now settling into their new home. The Amano shrimp got to work straight away, and are cleaning leaves as I type this. One of the Gastromyzon cf. psiloetron is working over one of the tank walls, and the other is giving an anubius leaf a good cleaning. The loaches are smaller than I thought they'd be, but that is fine, since their diminutive size makes them perfect for cleaning small amounts of algae off of plant leaves until they grow too big to be supported by the plants any longer. As always, it's just a joy working with all of you, and the care with which you get the fish ready for their journey is greatly appreciated not only by the fish, but also by me. You have won yourselves a loyal customer who will never go anywhere else for her fish. Thank all of you for you excellent and diligent work! You are the best! Comment: First time ever having a fish shipped to my house. Ordered an Electric Blue Jack Dempsey, as they are difficult to find in my area and very expensive so I did my research before choosing where I was ordering from. It showed up well packaged, happy, and alive! When I unboxed it, I could not believe how stunning it looked. The pictures on the site don’t do it justice. The order was delayed due to weather, they were able to be taken back to Dan’s and sent out the next day. Unfortunately UPS did not deliver the fish the next day - I don’t know why, the weather was not bad here. Jonny responded quickly and took care of credit to my account with no delay. Very happy with the customer service and will order again once it is warmer.

Comment: This is the first time I've ever ordered fish on line and the experience was great. Even working with me for the best day to be delivered. I ordered. 4 pea puffers and 4 red cherry shrimp. The puffer were all packed individually and the shrimp in one package with some moss. All arrived alive and looking great. The puffers had nice fat bellies and because they shared what they are feeding they took to the blood worms right away. All are lucky oking happy and healthy and headed to their best life. Comment: My pair arrived and were super active! They weren't chilled and looked good. I let them acclimate before I put them in the 20g. The boy immediately started chasing my big girls. He loves it. The girl started hanging out with the other guppies and seems to be settling in well too. Pics once they settle in, probably tomorrow. Still thinking of names, but they both have so much personality!

Comment: All arrive safe and sound. It's a 90 gallon tank filled with Nano fish, so it's very difficult to tell if they're thriving. They are schooling/shoaling with the Strawberry Rasbora. The Red Cherry Shrimp are very tiny and have been hiding. I've only seen one so far hiding/feeding in a thick batch of Hornwort and floating plants.

Comment: My fish arrived seemingly alive and well. After adding them to the tank and turning the light off for an hour, their color immediately returned and they look fantastic! They are in a tight school and look healthy and happy by all indications. I'm delighted as these are one of my absolute favorite fish species and I've heard horror stories about purchasing rummynose tetras from LFS's with them getting ich and so forth. Mine look to be in tip-top shape and are already thriving members of my community tank!

Comment: Very good and prompt communication. Asked to hold order for a week and was ok'd immediately. Was tracking shipment and said that there was going to be a delay for a day due to flight delay in Louisville KY. Luckily flight was resumed and order came in that same day very quickly. Fish came in well packaged and very warm. Temp on bags were 75.3°F, Local area was 63°F. All individually bagged and alive.
