  • Comment: Received my order of 10 dwarf rainbows, all warm and cozy in their packaging. However two looked a little off and died shortly after transferring to my quarantine set up. Contacted the great customer service at Dan's Fish and they refunded the cost of and shipping for the two that passed. I would rate overall a 4.5 rather than a 4 but that isn't an option. 5 for service!

  • Comment: If I could give a higher rating I would. Everything was perfect from the communication about the order to the customer service I received due to 2 of my new fishy friends not making it. When I emailed about the first one that was DOA I got a credit back within an hour of the email and a personal message back and when the second crossed the rainbow bridge a few days later I got an email back right away and a credit back for that one as well. Just from that experience I 10 out of 10 will order from here again. Thank you guys for all that you do and the amazing shopping experience!!!!!

  • Comment: The Guppy pair arrived in good shape and have acclimated well. 2 of the Reticulated Hillstream Loaches, however, died the 3rd day. I'm not going to give up on the species. I have several in my heavily planted 90 gallon tank that have prospered for several months or more.

  • Comment: When fish arrived and I opened the box the temp was between 71 and 73 degrees ,the three pea puffers were just laying on the bottom of the bags ,I thought they were all dead but seeing signs of life I floated them in there tank ,It took about 20 minutes before they showed good signs of life and now after 3 hours in the aquarium they are looking good, time will tell. P.S. the temp bags were at 71 to 73 degrees not good. Ed Frohman

Just so you know, 71F - 73F is actually our target temperature range when shipping fish. It is cool enough that their metabolism slows down, helping them excrete less ammonia during transit, but warm enough that it doesn't stress them. - Dan

  • Comment: They came in a bit hot @ 87Ā°. All but one seemed pretty active in the bags, one was laying on his side a bit. Temp acclimated for about 45 min. Everyone swam off into a very heavily planted 40 breeder out of the net. As the day went on I found the one that looked a bit off lying on the sand. He didnā€™t make it but the others seem pretty happy, lots of chasing and racing going on. ;*****update***** Woke up to an email from dans fish letting me know they saw the review and no questions asked are happy to make it right. Thatā€™s some top notch customer care. No debates or back and forth, just 100% ready to do the right thing for a customer. Iā€™m super impressed.

  • Comment: Hi there! I ordered an electric blue acara and 6 peacock gudgeons. I waited about 3-4 days to review because I wanted to make sure everyone was still doing well after the fact. Guess what, they still are! Everyone is very healthy, loving their food, and not shy at all. After I initially acclimated them, within 20 minutes everyone was swimming around their tanks exploring. Dan carries some seriously healthy stock. Thanks again for the pleasant transaction!

  • Comment: I ordered long fin Cory's, gold laser Cory's, lemon tetras and orange river snails. Out of 7 orange lasers 2 survived. All long fin Cory's were refunded bc they came desiesed. Only 1 out of 3 river snails survived. Lemon tetras doing well. Overall poor experience.

  • Comment: Everything arrived in great condition. Purple mystery snails look awesome, the shells are beautiful. The panda Garra is nice and fat and went right to eating. The fork tail rainbows are smaller than I expected but seem to be in good shape.(my fault for not reading the shipping size) I had to put them in a grow out tank before I add them to the main tank they were meant for.
