Comment: In have emailed but have not received a response. The fish came in healthy and great, but the half banded pikes I ordered are actually a different cichlid. They are Regani Dwarf pikes which means they will not reach the size I had hoped for to be living with my larger cichlids. The advertised species is crenicichla geayi and I got crenicichla regani. Over all the fish and packing are number one and the care for quarantine is awesome.

Comment: I am so impressed with Dans Fish. I am new to the fish keeping hobby and because of this I had a dozen questions. In the past I have ordered fish online from other places and they never even replied to my e mails. Dan however answered every question I asked and even delayed shipping upon request when I had problems with my tanks. And my fish arrived on time and are healthy and happy. Comment: Great experience all around. My desired fish were on a wish list and I got notified they were now available. I ordered 10 Chili Rasboras and I was notified quickly of the ship date. They travelled overnight and arrived beautifully packaged and full of life. Transitioned into my tank very nicely. This is probably the best place to order from if you want quality fish that travel in careful style.

Comment: I am so glad to have found Dan’s, I have seen how completely I can trust the service and the quality of the fish. My last two orders were for fish that were out of stock and I asked to be notified when they came in. Shortly, I was notified when they became available and a week later they are in my aquarium. I also love they send an email detailing the plan for shipping and the day you can expect them. All around great!

Comment: Don’t give me wrong I really like Dan’s Fish but I ordered manacapuru anglefish and those fish a $80 each. The size of those fish was like a quarter size, I’m ordered 4 of them. One of them was really weak maybe a little bit smaller than quarter size he didn’t eat from the beginning After three weeks he was dead. I think they should select those fish little bit better before they send for customers because like I say $80 for small Fish is not cheap.

I realized after I placed my order that I had forgotten to ask if it would be possible to mail the fish on a certain day of the week so that they would arrive on my day off (as I work in healthcare). Comment: Package arrived on time and warm. Shipping and communication was first rate. All the fish appeared to be doing well on arrival but one of the black cories died shortly after. I opened the individual fish bags into one darkened container and started drip and temp acclimation. The cories all looked okay at this time but one was a little sluggish. After 6 hours of drip acclimation, one of the cories was belly up on the bottom. I moved him to my hospital tank overnight in case he was shocked but he never moved again. The rest of the cories and all the rasboras moved into tank after that and are all doing well.

Comment: Bought 7 swordtails and asked for 4 males. They came the following day after being shipped. Package was a good temperature when I opened it. The packaging was good and all 7 fish came in separate bags. The bags were perfect size so the fish were always submerged. All the fish are healthy and already eating and very active. Comment: All my fish arrived safely and alive! Eight cherry shrimp and two black corys. Sadly, one the corys passed away two days after arrival. I saw the little fell laying on his back, motionless, several times and the next morning he was gone. After checking my water parameters and talking to the Dan's team it appears to have been due to stress. The Dan's team provided prompt responses, was very helpful and easy to work with, and they kindly reimbursed me for the loss of my fish. Once I'm ready for new additions, I'll definitely order from them again! No, they're not the cheapest, but I am happy to pay a premium for quality fish and excellent customer service.

Comment: My order arrived on time, in great shape, and at a toasty 75.5 degrees. Unfortunately, we lost one of the panda corys who was dead on arrival. The 5 other corys and 12 neon tetras all arrived in great shape. I tested the shipment water for ammonia after transfer and there was detectable amounts, but nothing I would not expect after 18 hours in transit. Neons are still hiding and defensively schooling, but I have seen them pick off some baby brine shrimp. I am hoping for some more normal behavior from them as they settle in over the next day or two. The remaining corys are acting perfectly normal since hitting my aquarium water rooting around in the sand and chasing each other up the glass. The dead cory looked a little skinny compared to the others I received, but no other ideas on what could have gone wrong with him. I will definately be ordering more from you in the future, but hopefully not too soon, I want to enjoy this order for several years to come. Thank you for always striving to improve yourselves and the industry at large. Keep it up! Update: Caught my new neon tetras spawning this morning! I have only had them 3 full days! Astounding, just tells you how well Dan and his team care for these fish. I thought they looked too young to be spawning already and also so soon after shipment? Wow! 2 Week Update: All fish that arrived alive are doing great growing and putting on weight. Thank you so much! The best fish buying experience I have had.

Comment: I've made several orders over the past couple of months and all have been absolutely incredible! The fish are all super happy and healthy. I love how I can watch a video on YouTube and see exactly what quality of fish I am going to get. I've easily ordered over 50 fish recently and only had one dead on arrival. The packaging was fantastic and all of my shipments have been around 78 degrees inside of the insulation. I'm confident the one that didn't make it was no fault of Dan's but nonetheless, I was refunded immediately. The only negative thing I can say is that Dan's Fish makes things so easy that I buy way more fish than my wife would like!

Have only been in the tank a short while (less than 1 hour), but already took food and starting to color up. Shipping was less than 24 hours. Comment: Coral red teacup platies arrived fat and sassy! Their color is amazing and even more amazing was how chill the fish were, right out of the box! The peppered cory catfish are the cutest ever and the guppies colored up quickly as soon as they were in the tank. All fish are happily exploring their new tank and have eaten dinner (xtreme flake and some hikari pellets). The packaging is excellent and customer service was very helpful in planning. Comment: Great experience and a smooth process. Everything arrived alive. There was one glowlight danio that was clearly not doing well and died a day or two later. The water was at least 83 degrees because of all the heat packs, but that was probably because it was unseasonably warm for the time of year, and because I grabbed the package within a few minutes of delivery. I lost one glowlight danio to slow wasting four weeks later, and one more seems like it might meet the same fate. I don't want to speculate on what caused that, but I think those two stayed spindly when the rest fattened up immediately. Given that these are small fish and they were shipped, I'm really impressed with the health and survival rate. I love the YouTube content too, because it gives me a better idea of the fishes' behavior and appearance. I'm a huge fan of Dan and his approach to the fish business, and I'd absolutely suggest buying from him.

Comment: This was my first order with Dan's Fish. I decided to try them after watching his videos and having multiple health issues with the other business I purchased fish from. They all arrived active and alive. There was not one fish out of 16 total, that I thought "wouldn't make it" when I opened the box. They all colored up the first day and all of them ate well. The company was great to deal with from the start. Answering all my questions honestly and replying to every email. I've already sent them another order!
